Everyone talks about making “New Year’s Resolutions”. They plan to loose weight, or quit smoking, or start exercising. Most resolutions are about self-improvement. You rarely hear about what they plan to do to improve their job/company/business. This year try concentrating on how you can improve your business life, instead of (or in addition to) your personal life.
Make a list of the things you can do to improve your performance at work. This might include organizing your work space to be more efficient, taking a class to improve your job knowledge, making one more sales call each day, double checking your work before releasing it, making more of an effort to be pleasant to someone at work that annoys you. What other ideas can you come up with to improve your job and/or job performance?
Imagine the difference to your company if every employee made a New Year’s Resolution to improve their work habits/efforts? Your company might find itself flourishing!
